What should stand out in a junior software developer resume?
If your experience is brief, your projects and technical skills will carry your resume. A recruiter looks for tangible signs that you can write code and are eager to learn: projects you've completed, repositories you've contributed to, and internships.
Which template?
Nova: single-column, simple, and ATS-compliant. Ideal for a concise resume.
Recommended section order
Personal info and GitHub link → Summary → Projects → Technical skills → Internship / experience → Education → Certifications and courses.
How should you write your projects?
For each project, include the project name, technologies used, your role, and a link (GitHub or live demo). Even if it's a school assignment, explain what you did and learned in a sentence or two. Don't present someone else's code as your own work; you must be able to explain every line in an interview.
How should you list technical skills?
Write down what you actually use and back them up with your projects. Instead of inflating your level by calling yourself an «expert», it is more reliable to specify in which project you used it.
